Justin French has been promoted to director of sales and marketing – Canada for Carnival Cruise Lines, the world’s largest cruise operator.
French joined Carnival Cruise Lines in 2003 as the line’s business development manager for western Ontario. Last year, he was named Carnival’s “Canadian Regional Salesperson of the Year,” as well as the company’s “Groups Salesperson of the Year.”
Before joining Carnival, French spent 11 years with Delta Air Lines, starting in 1992 as a customer service agent in the air logistics department, and another eight years in the company’s sales and distribution department, first as a sales representative and then as a district sales manager in charge of all passenger sales for Ontario.
“With his incredible professionalism, hard work and leadership, Justin is certainly deserving of this promotion,” said Maurice Zarmati, Carnival’s vice president of sales. “In the three years he has been with Carnival he has quickly developed a great relationship with travel agents in the area and has developed innovative solutions to help them develop new business and retain existing clients,” he added.
As Carnival’s director of sales and marketing for Canada, French is responsible for directing the sales and marketing efforts of Carnival’s five Canadian-based business development managers in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec.
He currently resides in Georgetown, Ontario, with his wife and two children.
