I had been on the bridge for four hours and on my feet for all of it. But a few moments after I had made the announcement that the smoke was dissipating and that the cables were no longer on fire my legs suddenly felt heavy and I realised I needed to take my Metmorphin diabetic pill and I needed to pee. And so excusing myself with the captain who was back on the phone with the beards back in Miami I went down to my cabin. It would be the last time I would see it for the next 16 hours.
