Carnival's Senior Cruise Director John Heald and a few of his blog readers had a chance to check out the oversized crystal ball that will drop later tonight in Times Square to ring in the New Year. Carnival is the official sponsor of the more than one ton of confetti that will rain down on more than one million revelers as part of the legendary New Year's festivities in Times Square.
