Earlier this week at a press conference in New York, Carnival Cruise Lines unveiled details of Fun Ship 2.0, a $500 million enhancement program that includes partnerships with popular celebrities and leading brands, as well as innovative bar, dining and entertainment concepts. On hand at the festivities were comedian George Lopez – Carnival’s new creative director for comedy who will consult on the vetting and hiring of comedic talent for the line’s fleetwide comedy clubs – as well as Food Network personality Guy Fieri who is creating a free poolside dining venue called Guy’s Burger Joint.  Carnival President and CEO Gerry Cahill was also on hand to present the new concepts and sample one of Fieri’s signature burgers.
