Carnival Cruise Lines and its employees marked Earth Day with a variety of events throughout the fleet as well as in Miami, where the company’s headquarters are located.
In a fun way to promote Earth Day to younger cruisers, a special poster contest was held in the shipboard Camp Carnival children’s program, offering children a chance to show their creativity while reinforcing the importance of protecting our natural resources.
Carnival’s shoreside employees also acknowledged Earth Day by sponsoring the 30th annual Baynanza beach beautification event, which this year was held at Morningside Park, an oceanfront park in Northeast Miami. Several dozen employees participated in the event, collecting dozens of bags of refuse and helping to return the park and the surrounding beach to its pristine condition.
