Carnival made its Tales of the Cocktail debut in New Orleans, hosting an exclusive event for journalists aboard the Carnival Elation while it was docked in the Big Easy.

Nearly 60 members of the press sampled refreshing libations from six-foot-high pop-up bars that artfully recreated four of Carnival’s most popular watering holes - The Alchemy Bar, RedFrog Pub, BlueIguana Tequila Bar and RedFrog Rum Bar - with uniformed servers preparing drinks and answering questions.

The journalists also had the opportunity to taste some of the delicious culinary offerings from BlueIguana Cantina and RedFrog Pub while learning more about the line’s bar innovations through an informative presentation by Vice President of Beverage Operations Eddie Allen.

The food and beverage offerings are among the many new dining, bar and entertainment options included in Fun Ship 2.0, Carnival’s $500 million ship enhancement initiative that is being rolled out across its fleet.
