The web site for the Grand Turk Cruise Center (www.grandturkcc.com) has been redesigned with a brand new look and feel, along with a wide variety of videos, images and information showcasing the popular cruise destination, which attracts 625,000 passengers annually.
Designed to provide an at-a-glance look of the sprawling 18-acre facility, the enhanced user-friendly web site offers videos and images highlighting such attractions as Splashdown: Grand Turk, an exhibit that pays homage to the historic 1962 splashdown of the Freedom 7 capsule off the island’s coast; the Flow-Rider, a fun simulated surfing activity; and the Caribbean’s largest Margaritaville restaurant. A monthly cruise ship schedule, a web cam with live streaming video of the center, a frequently asked questions section, and a listing of the many on-island tours and activities are also included.
The two-berth facility opened in 2006 and can accommodate as many as 7,000 passengers a day. The Grand Turk Cruise Center features a private white-sand beach with air-conditioned private poolside cabanas, 45,000 square feet of retail space, a welcome center, a swimming pool and an expansive recreation area. The facility also serves as the gateway to a variety of historic landmarks and attractions throughout the island.
