Building upon its longstanding support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® that includes a variety of fundraising activities both on board and ashore throughout the year, Carnival Cruise Line is participating in the hospital’s Thanks and Giving® campaign for the seventh consecutive year.
During St. Jude Thanks and Giving®, Carnival guests will have the opportunity to make a donation toward St. Jude via their Sail & Sign card. Guests on board will also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of Care to Play activities designed to raise funds and awareness in the fight against childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. Activities include a fun dance activity called Groove for St. Jude, as well as Build-A-Bear Workshop at Sea where kids can build their own stuffed animal with optional accessories with proceeds benefiting the hospital.
Carnival’s St. Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign kicked off earlier this month and runs through December 31, 2018.
Carnival’s partnership with St. Jude began in 2010 and as the hospital’s “Official Celebration Partner” the company has raised more than $17 million in the fight against childhood cancer and other diseases.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since it opened 50 years ago.
