How the Grinch Stole…the Carnival #ChooseFun AirShip?
Putting his Christmas duties in the hands of his trusted dog Max, the Grinch tried to steal some of the fun from Carnival Cruise Line’s massive 128-foot-long red, white and blue blimp on a recent sunny California day.
The Grinch is just one of the many Dr. Seuss characters that are part of the line’s Seuss at Sea fleetwide program that features exciting youth, family, dining and entertainment experiences created in partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises. Carnival guests can meet the famed Christmas creature himself with surprise and delight moments for the young and young at heart through special appearances, themed activities, fun holiday shows and spontaneous photo opportunities.
The AirShip’s month-long tour of the Golden State also included a visit to the naming ceremony for the new Carnival Panorama in Long Beach, the first new ship homeported year-round on the West Coast in nearly 25 years. The ‘Feast of Fun’ event was highlighted by appearances from godmother Vanna White and culinary partners Guy Fieri, Emeril Lagasse and Rudi Sodamin, as well as ribbon cuttings for the first Sky Zone trampoline park at sea and Carnival Kitchen, a first-in-fleet culinary center offering a host of interactive cooking classes.
It also is flying over San Diego to celebrate Carnival Miracle’s new program of four- 15-day voyages – the first sailings from that port in seven years.
The AirShip will soon head east to Miami in time for The Big Game and other high-flying festivities.
