Carnival Cruise Lines has made a terrific “Fun Ship” even better.  The 2,974-passenger Carnival Valor resumed Caribbean service from Miami on February 13, following a 14-day dry dock during which a variety of refurbishment work was completed. The ship now features a renovated children’s pool area, dance club, and other on-board facilities, as well as the addition of a two-level Serenity, adults-only retreat.

Spanning decks 12 and 14, the Serenity area is designed as an oasis for tranquility and relaxation, offering colorful, oversized umbrellas, comfortable chaise lounges and chairs, whirlpools, and breathtaking sea views.

What’s more, the refurbishment includes the creation of two new stateroom types—Captain Suites and Scenic Ocean Views.

The children’s pool area now features colorful new tiles and an awning so parents can relax in the shade while their kids splash and play.  The One Small Step dance club has been reconfigured and received a host of cosmetic enhancements, while the Bronx sports bar boasts new LCD televisions.  Other enhancements include new upholstery and chairs in Rosie’s, Carnival Valor’s casual poolside restaurant, new carpeting in the Circle C facility for 12- to 14-year olds and new tile work in the 14,500-square foot Spa Carnival health and wellness center.

The Carnival Valor sails from Miami to the Caribbean on year-round seven-day sailings.
