Carnival Cruise Line took top honors in three categories in Travel Channel’s Best Cruises 2015 awards – “Best Mexican Cruise (Carnival Miracle),” “Best Theme Cruises (Carnival LIVE),” and “Unexpected Cruise for Food (Carnival Breeze).” Carnival was the only cruise line to be recognized with multiple awards this year.
The awards are based on feedback from a team of judges from popular cruise magazines and web sites who listed their favorites in a variety of categories.
Offering week-long Mexican Riviera cruises from Long Beach, Calif., Carnival Miracle earned its “Best Mexican Cruise” title not only for its attractive itineraries but also for its recent Fun Ship 2.0 upgrades. These include the Caribbean-inspired RedFrog Pub, cocktail pharmacy-themed Alchemy Bar, and the family-friendly Seuss at Sea program created in partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises.
Carnival earned “Best Theme Cruises” honors for its Carnival LIVE Concert Series which brings the best of musical entertainment to the seas with captivating shows by major musical artists who perform on board while ships are docked at select ports of call. Now in its second year, Carnival LIVE continues this fall with concerts by top-name acts like Lionel Richie, Heart and BOSTON.
Carnival Breeze took home the “Unexpected Cruise for Food” award for its wide range of culinary choices, including hand-crafted burgers and fries at Guy’s Burger Joint developed in tandem with Food Network star Guy Fieri, prime cuts of beef and other gourmet cuisine at the Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse, authentic hand-rolled Asian delicacies at Bonsai Sushi and Italian favorites served family-style at Cucina del Capitano.
