Carnival Cruise Line has appointed Taylor Bux vice president of marketing services.  In this capacity, he is responsible for consumer public relations, brand experience and grassroots marketing, social media and branded content as well as advertising and creative services. Bux will report directly to Kathy Mayor, chief marketing officer for Carnival Cruise Line.

Bux joins Carnival from Old Navy/Gap, Inc. where he served as global director of digital and social media marketing. In that role, he was responsible for all digital, social and mobile marketing for the Old Navy brand as well as data and analytics and online brand communications.

Prior to Old Navy, Bux was a senior consultant at Hong Kong-based investment firm Ward Ferry, client services director in China for digital ad agency Razorfish, founder and general manager of social media marketing agency One9ninety, director of social media marketing in China for global digital agency Lowe Profero, and held senior positions in New York and Shanghai at global public relations agency Ketchum.

“Taylor brings an exciting wealth of experience in a multitude of marketing disciplines to his new role and will be a tremendous asset to the Carnival marketing function,” said Mayor.

Bux holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Davidson College. He has relocated from San Francisco to South Florida for his new role.
