Carnival Vista – Carnival Cruise Line’s newest, largest and most innovative ship – has been named Best Cruise Ship for Families in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. The awards were based on nominations from a team of cruise industry experts and the winners were determined by an online vote by USA Today readers.
Carnival Vista earned Best Cruise Line for Families honors for providing a truly fun and memorable vacation experience for guests of all ages with unique family-friendly amenities such as Family Harbor, a special section on Deck 2 with nautical-themed family staterooms, a family concierge and the Family Harbor lounge; a bike-ride-in-the-sky attraction called SkyRide, part of the expansive SportSquare outdoor recreation area; the first IMAX Theatre at sea, and the most elaborate park in the fleet highlighted by the 455-foot-long Kaleid-o-slide, the line’s first inner tube ride.
Adults have their own spaces as well with the exclusive Serenity adults-only retreat, the 22,000-square-foot Cloud 9 Spa and tropics-themed Havana staterooms and suites featuring its own infinity pool and Cuban-inspired bar. There are also opportunities for shared experiences with the all-ages Hasbro, The Game Show, family-friendly comedy shows at the Punchliner Comedy Club, the popular Seuss at Sea program developed in partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises and the line’s newest on-board activity, Build-A-Bear Workshop at Sea.
These features and facilities build upon Carnival’s position as the leader in family cruising carrying more than 700,000 children annually – the most in cruising.
Carnival Vista debuted in Europe earlier this year and launched year-round six- and eight-day Caribbean service from Miami last month, visiting some of the region’s most beautiful and spectacular destinations.
