If there has ever been a time to skip taking the stairs, it’s now! Carnival Cruise Line is providing fans with a more playful mode of transportation to make their game days even more fun with a Choose Fun slide at The Battery Atlanta at SunTrust Park, home of the Atlanta Braves. The slide will be open to fans for all Braves home games through July 25 and for the Atlanta Wine Walk on June 22.
Allowing guests to bypass 38 stairs, and inspired by Carnival’s Kaleid-o-slide at its sprawling WaterWorks aqua parks, the Choose Fun tunnel slide at The Battery Atlanta is bright orange with multi-color stripes and three bends. Next to the slide entrance on the pedestrian walkway, there is also a Carnival-branded hopscotch lane encouraging the young and young at heart to embrace their inner child.
Those who take a ride down the Choose Fun slide also gain access to a Carnival GIF booth where they can create an entertaining social media post or keepsake photo. Fans will also have the exclusive opportunity to interact with popular Atlanta radio and television personality Darian Morgan, better known as “Big Tigger,” on June 18 from 6-8 p.m.
Atlanta is within a day’s drive or short flight to many of Carnival’s East Coast homeports, including five Florida ports: Miami, Port Canaveral, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, and Jacksonville, as well as Charleston and New Orleans. It’s estimated that roughly half of the U.S. population is within a day’s drive of a Carnival homeport.
