The Miami Improv was recently transformed into Carnival Cruise Line’s Punchliner Comedy Club – for one night at least – as it served as the venue for the line’s eighth annual comedy fundraiser which this year benefited the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.   The funds raised during this exclusive comedy event will go toward Carnival’s overall Relay for Life goal of more than $300,000.

Sponsored by Carnival’s Global Contact Center and hosted by Marcus Labra, one of the company’s database applications managers who was making his comedy debut, the show featured hilarious performances by four of the company’s most popular comedians – Valarie Storm, Jorge Marroquin, Manny Oliveira, and Eli Rodriguez – who perform at the line’s fleetwide Punchliner Comedy Clubs as well as at comedy venues throughout the country.

The most popular comedy venues at sea, Carnival’s Punchliner Comedy Clubs are featured aboard all 27 of the line’s ships, offering side-splitting line-up of funnymen and women each and every voyage.  Punchliner Comedy Clubs host upwards of 26,000 performances annually fleetwide making Carnival the largest purveyor of comedy in the world.
